This listing is for one of Billie Joe Armstrong's 1st guitars in Green Day. It is a Harmony Stella Parlor acoustic guitar that he used extensively. He used this very guitar to record F.O.D. on their Dookie record. This guitar was obtained from Billie and it comes with a signed Certificate Of Authenticity from him. Billie sold this guitar along with some other Green Day items back in 2019. If you search online you will find many articles and videos about the auction, including a video of Armstrong himself talking about the items. One of the articles states this is the 1st guitar owned by Armstrong. Per ebay policy I can not post links to videos. Stella was an American guitar brand owned by the Oscar Schmidt Company. It was founded around 1899. The Stella brand consists of low and mid-level stringed instruments. Stella guitars were played by notable musicians such as Robert Johnson, Lead Belly, Willie Nelson, and Kurt Cobain. This guitar is most likely a 1950s model. Serial number N/A. 3/4 scale simulated flametop. Tobacco finish. This guitar is dirty but still holds its tune. A super excellent wall hanger with an unbelievable amount of provenance for any Dookie fan. Comes with a chipboard case. Still retains the original board tape to set the intonation as well as the original strings from the Dookie recordings. The chipboard case is in poor condition. The guitar is in fair condition. It has not been cleaned or altered in any way since obtaining from Armstrong.
You will get the guitar, guitar case, aluminum plaque for display purposes, and the hand signed COA from Billie Joe Armstrong.
