We recently restored this gorgeous
Greek bouzouki
made by
Apostolos Karandreas
in
Athens
. It has abalone shell and celluloid inlay on it's top, ebony fretboard and headstock. A new set of
RotoSound Athene
bouzouki strings where installed, which produces a great sound full of bass and mid-tones. It also comes with a
Archodis
pickup and it's original case (which is in bad shape)
There where repairs on the back and top, such as splitted ribs and a crack on the top. These where carefully repaired. The original laquer was in terrible condition, damaged and with all the repairs that had be done on the top and back, we decided to carefully sand it all off. After repairing all the cracks we finished the entire bouzouki with somde fresh layers of shellac.
