Auction description: "Hand-made acoustic instrument, commissioned as a "special Ensemble" for a private collector. The death of the collector, prior to delivery of these fine instruments causes them to be offered for sale. All instruments are unique, masterly crafted and include custom made original hard cases. Beautiful inlays adorn each instrument, taking nearly 1000 hours of pains-taking labor to hand-inlay abalone amd mother of pearl with scrimshaw accents and exquisite detail. Each instrument has an on-board tuner and special electronics package, complete with EQ and hidden battery compartment."
