    Description

This vintage original black-and-white paper doll page was printed in the January, 1919 issue of Ladies' Home Journal.  11" x 16" page has been preserved under clear plastic wrap and is in excellent uncut condition.  Plastic shows some surface wear, but no tears or creasing have occurred.  Sturdy paper was used as backing, and it does not appear to have been glued to it, as there are no signs of weeping through to the paper doll page.  Two-sided 4.5" Bobby paper doll has a stand attached and the clothes are also double-sided, which was common in that era.  Accessories and pets/toys are also made to stand up or are two-sided as well.  Illustrations are by Helen Haselton and she gives a short story about Bobby, plus brief instructions on assembly.  Great vintage paper doll!
